Summary
Grammars set the tone of your Voice XML applications. A well-designed grammar that allows users to get what they want using natural speech patterns will greatly contribute to application success. In this article we looked at examples of Nuance GSL and SRGS XML grammars. GSL, a non-XML grammar is simple and is supported on a wide variety of platforms. SRGS XML has a higher learning curve, but with the backing of the W3C, expect to see SRGS in wide use.
