It’s possible to make too much of the problems, of course. Integration of open source and Windows applications is done routinely in thousands of enterprises.
The key is simply being aware that, in spite of some open source advocates like to claim, the process isn’t always automatic. The people who have the most trouble integrating Windows and open source are typically the folks who didn’t expect—or prepare for—any possible problems.
