Migrating Local Firefox Settings to Portable Firefox
If you are already a Firefox user, you probably have amassed a number of bookmarks and other settings that you want to migrate to Portable Firefox. This is a fairly painless process. On the computer running the full version of Firefox, go to this directory: c:\Documents and Settings\[Your User]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[some random number].default. The location of this directory will vary based on the Windows user under which Firefox was installed. For example, the directory I had to navigate to was: c:\Documents and Settings\Bicky\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\lsz8hltj.default. Select all the contents under this directory into your Clipboard, as shown in Figure 4.

After making sure that no instances of Firefox are open, paste the contents of your Clipboard into the USB drive’s PortableFirefox\profile directory, as shown in Figure 5.
