Installing and Launching Portable Firefox
To install Portable Firefox, simply extract the contents of the Portable Firefox zip file to a directory on your USB thumb drive. I suggest extracting to the root of your USB drive because unzipping should automatically create a directory called PortableFirefox, as shown in Figure 1.

To launch PortableFirefox, double-click the PortableFirefox.exe file as shown in the figure. Note that you must close any instances of Firefox (even the full version) that might be running on your host machine before you can launch Portable Firefox.
Rather than the normal Mozilla Firefox splash screen, you’ll see a splash screen like the one shown in Figure 2.

After a short period of starting up, you should see the default home page, which is a Google search (see Figure 3).
