Ta Da and Next Time!
Finally, I double-click the local table name in the main Access window, and am presented with... something very similar to what I saw in Excel. Only now, the review can’t all be seen (indeed, everything over 256 characters is missing!), as shown in Figure 10, and Access didn’t do what I expected with the two different movie viewers.
Not to worry. We’ll quickly resolve these issues—and more—in the next exciting installment of Access Fear Factor. What we’re looking at now is simply the raw data. Unlike Word and Excel, Access provides a simple means for displaying data in a variety of flexible formats called reports. We’ll look at that next time, as well as how to use Access’ data in Word.
