Summary
Database administrators and software developers have much in common: They work long hours, have tough deadlines to meet, enjoy working with other geeks, and like to learn new technologies. Most importantly, both professions try to make their company successful. Yet conflicting responsibilities can sometimes get in a way of building a friendly and productive relationship. The best way to settle a disagreement is to avoid it in the first place and focus on commonalities rather than differences.
