Selecting Foreground and Background Colors
Click the foreground and background color swatches in the toolbox to choose a color for working in your images (see Figure 3.14). Use the foreground color when you’re painting with Brush tools or creating type on your page. Use the background color when you’re deleting or erasing portions of the Background layer. The background color will be revealed underneath the portions you erase. Swap the foreground with the background color by clicking the Switch arrow just above and to the right of the color watches, or by pressing X on the keyboard. To set your colors to default black and white, click the Default Foreground and Background colors button just below and to the left of the color swatches or press the D key on the keyboard.
