Installing and Setting Up Trillian and Gaim
Installing both Trillian and Gaim is a rather trivial process: Simply run the setup file and go through the simple installation questions.
After installation, both Trillian and Gaim allow you to specify the information for the IM accounts and their protocols (such as Yahoo! or MSN) that you want to have access to. (See Figures 1 and 2.)

After you select a messaging protocol/IM service provider, both Gaim and Trillian ask you to specify information about the connection you want to create, as shown in Figures 3 and 4.

After your account information has been established, you can use the different IM accounts you created in one consolidated view.
