Understanding DNS Spoofing
The side affect of this whole DNS process is that the client will believe that their resource lies at the specified IP address, even if the address is false. In other words, if the domain name service could be altered to return the wrong address, the client would never know! This is basically what all the browser hacks do. If you own your own DNS server and alter the list of IP address to domain name values, you can trick the PSP into thinking ingame.scea.com lies at an IP address that you actually control. As a result, instead of connecting to 160.33.44.80, your PSP could be tricked into connecting to 67.171.70.72.
