JaceTech DDP-1500 WiFi-Enabled PMP
JaceTech, a relatively unknown Korean electronics maker, has just introduced the JaceTech DDP-1500, one of the first WiFi-enabled portable media players (PMPs) to hit the market. The device, which measures 120 × 90 × 30 mm, sports a 3.5-inch color thin film transistor (TFT) screen and a 20GB hard drive (see Figure 2). It not only can play a variety of audio (WMA, MP3) and video (MPEG-1/2/4, WMV9, DivX, XviD) formats, but users can surf the web and tune into FM radio.
We're not sure how users are supposed to navigate the web, but with 802.11b connectivity, we assume that you can sync and possibly stream media files from your PC. A USB 2.0 port is provided for super-fast data transfer of large amounts of files, and the compact flash slot lends the device to being the perfect portable storage companion for the digital camera enthusiast.
