iPod/PDA Tools for Mac Users
As you might expect, Mac users get a little hands-up with tools for the iPod. First things first: Calendar events and your Address Book are supported with the same synchronizing technology used to sync iTunes with the iPod. You lucky buggers.
If you need more than just the basics, get Pod2Go ($12). What do you get? Well, you can synchronize the normal stuff such as stickies, mail, iCal, and Address Book (see Figure 4).
Figure 4 Pod2Go is a very cool Mac tool that extends the functionality of the iPod.
You can also synchronize with any web site's RSS news feed, such as the one for InformIT. This will get you the weather, news, stock information, and movie details. You can also find information on song lyrics easily (see Figure 5), and even store your horoscope (see Figure 6).
Figure 5 In addition to news, Pod2Go lets you find the lyrics to your songs.
Figure 6 Your horoscope information is copied to your iPod Notes section from Pod2Go.
All in all, Pod2Go, with its tie-ins to OS X, is a must-have for all Mac iPod users.
