Standard Databases
During the average day, several databases are accessed with the Notes client. The following section describes four of these databases: your Personal Address Book, your email database, the public Domino Directory, and your personal Web navigator. Depending on your Domino environment, your system administrator might have customized your company's version of Notes and Domino to include company-specific databases.
We'll start by touring the Personal Address Book that enables you to store information about your personal contacts. Next, we'll review the email database that enables you to send and receive email. The public Domino Directory is typically stored on your Domino server and contains information about all the users and resources across your Domino environment. Finally, we'll review the personal Web navigator database that is used when you browse the World Wide Web.
