Target Names
There are four target names (sometimes referred to as "magic target names") that are reserved in HTML and XHTML, and have specific actions related to them (see Table 3.10).

The document is loaded into a new window. |
_self |
The document is loaded into the same window as the referring document. |
_parent |
In frames, the document is loaded into the frameset parent of the current frame. If the frame has no parent, the document is loaded into the referring document. |
_top |
The document is loaded into the full, original window. In frames, this cancels all other frames in use. |
