Moving Files Between Subdirectories
To move a file from one subdirectory to another, click the file you would like to move and drag it over the folder of the subdirectory you would like to place it in. Next, release the mouse button and the file will be moved.
One of the cool site maintenance features in Dreamweaver is that if the file you move has links to other pages, Dreamweaver will automatically check to see if the links on the page have to be updated. If links on the moved file need updating, Dreamweaver will display a dialog box like the one in Figure 133 to ask if it should update the links on the page to the new location. This way, your file's links never break.
Figure 133 When you move a file from one subdirectory to another, Dreamweaver checks to see if there are links on the pages and updates them with the new path.
