Unwitting Collaborators, Part 4: Internal Threats
Every day you open your doors to your employees, you hand them the keys to your network. Any employeepermanent or part-timeposes the possible threat for the disruption or damage of data and your information infrastructure. Disgruntled employees, irate contractors, and others inside your organization pose a tremendous threat to your company's or organization's information network. Think about it. Who other than your employees has a better understanding of the security controls your organization has in place, and the ability to circumvent these controls or even exploit the weaknesses inherent in your applications, systems, and networks?
