Summary
A book could easily be filled with tips and tricks on how to work with XP's Registry. This article described the basics of what the Registry is, how it came about, it structure, and two of the more useful shortcuts I have found when working with it. The concept of keys is central to how the Registry is organized, and it is the basis of how you can navigate it. Be sure to have the Registry backed up before making any changes however; it's the central reference for your XP installation, and it can be painful if it's accidentally deleted or modified.
