Navigation
Several design techniques can be used for the navigation components of web pages:
Put a navigation bar at the top, bottom, or side of every page in your site instead of scattering the links all over the web pages.
If you're building a graphic navigation bar, use several small images instead of one large image. The large image will take longer to load and may not adjust correctly to different resolutions.
It can be useful to have navigation bars at the top as well as the bottom of pages. If you have a lot of content on your web pages and users end up scrolling, it helps to have a navigation bar at either end of the page.
Use a technique such as color coding on the navigation bar to distinguish which is the current page. Alternatively, you can put some sort of descriptive title on your pages so that the users can know immediately where they are.
