Future Trends
Even though www4mail is quite young, the software has evolved rapidly thanks largely to extensive user feedback, which has led to added enhancements and new features. The resulting software product available today is quite reliable but still undergoing various developments and improvements.
Since 1998, the goal of www4mail has been to help bridge the digital divide and transfer knowledge and technologies to remote (rural) regions for free. Another evolving goal of the project is to disseminate the service (more public servers) in order to make it more widely available. This will aid the process of increasing capacity as more individuals from developing countries use it.
Suggestions (and bug reports) regarding the www4mail program go to a dedicated email list hosted at the W3C Consortium: www4mail-comments@w3.org (available at lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-email-discuss). Any contributions for further www4mail developments are welcome!
