Upgrade and Access App Menus
The menu bar appears at the top of the AVG AntiVirus home screen. The blue Upgrade button appears at the right side of the screen; upgrade to the full version of AVG AntiVirus by tapping the button.
Within the Upgrade screen, you can view the differences between the Free and Pro editions of AVG AntiVirus. As of this writing, the annual subscription for AVG AntiVirus Pro is $11.99. If you prefer a monthly subscription, such as to test the app for a month or two so you don’t spend as much money on a product that you decide isn’t the best for you, you can pay $3.19 per month.
The Menu icon appears to the right of the Upgrade button. When you tap the Menu icon, you can select from one of the three options in the menu as shown in Figure 12:
- Follow Us: Follow AVG on the Google+ social network.
- Upgrade: Upgrade AVG AntiVirus to the Pro edition.
- Help: Get online help from the AVG website, view helpful videos from AVG in the YouTube app, or contact AVG support on the AVG website.

At the left side of the menu bar, view the main menu by tapping the AVG logo. Within the main menu window shown in Figure 13, tap one of the following options:
- Log In: Log in to manage Anti-Theft features.
- Manage Devices: Get more information about the free AVG Zen app you can download and install in the Google Play Store.
- Enter Invitation Code: If you downloaded the AVG Zen app, enter the invitation code you received on that app to add your Tab 4 to the list of devices managed by the AVG Zen app.
- More AVG Apps: View a list of all AVG apps for Android you can download from the Google Play Store.
- About: Get information about the app including the current version number.
- Help: Get online help from the AVG website, view helpful videos from AVG in the YouTube app, or contact AVG support on the AVG website.

At the bottom of the window you can tap on one of the following three icons, from left to right:
- The +1 icon allows you to follow AVG on Google+.
- Share a brief paragraph about the AVG AntiVirus app supplied by AVG on another device using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi Direct, in a memo you access with the Memo app, to a Dropbox or Google Drive account, in an email or Gmail message, in a Google+ post, or in a Google Hangouts message. You can also copy the information to the clipboard.
- The Favorite icon marks the AVG AntiVirus app page as a favorite in the Google Play Store.
If you want to close the window without selecting a menu options or one of the icons at the bottom of the window, tap the Back touch button.
Now that you’ve had a grand tour of AVG AntiVirus, you can determine if it’s the right app to protect your Tab 4 and also determine if you only want to use the free version or get everything the app has to offer by upgrading to the Pro version.
