No More Dynamic Replication of Content in Commerce Server 2000
What's missing most from the move from Site Server to Commerce Server 2000 is the deletion of dynamic replication from the latter product. In Site Server, Microsoft provided dynamic replication through the Content Replication feature, yet in Commerce Server 2000, there is the recommendation to users to use third-party products. This has to do with the shift in SQL Server to SQL Server 2000 and the resulting impact on the Commerce Server product. Table 2 compares the Site Server and Commerce Server replication strategies.
