Production Acceptance
After all other testing has been completed, the final step is for software to undergo production acceptance. This is where operations personnel will integrate the software into a production baseline and perform final regression testing. The main purpose of these tests is to document the correct operation of the software in its production rollout. A production acceptance process tailored to client/server systems is presented in the book Building the New Enterprise: People, Processes, and Technologies (Prentice Hall PTR, 1999, ISBN 0-13-079671-9).
