Using the Pixo Microbrowser for PCs
The Pixo Internet Microbrowser is a very good program that supports HTML and cHTML, which allows you to preview i-mode pages in these formats. You can download it from the Pixo Web site (http://www.pixo.com) and run it on a Windows PC.
When you launch the Pixo Microbrowser, a scrollable list of links to example wireless Web pages are displayed. You can browse these sites for examples of i-mode designs, or open your own pages in the simulator.
To open and view an i-mode page in the Pixo Microbrowser, do the following:
Click the Options button on the handset display.
Open URL option is highlighted, so click the OK button or hit the Enter key to select it.
Upload your file to a Web server or use your own PC as a Web server, using Personal Web Server or Internet Information Server for Windows.
Once your file is available online, type in that address and hit the Enter key.
Your i-mode page will appear in the Pixo Microbrowser screen.
To view the options while you are browsing an i-mode page, select the Options softkey (or type ")"). This will allow you to do the following:
Reload
Once you have made changes and wish to reload the page to view it again.
Show Images
You can choose to turn images on and off by selecting the Show Images option.
Add Bookmark
You can add the current page as a bookmark, making it easier to access that page in the future.
Bookmarks
Display all your currently stored bookmarks. In order to delete a bookmark, use the down arrow key to select the bookmark, and then select the Options keythe option to Delete is highlighted at the top of the screen.
History
Shows your recent browsing history.
Page Info
Shows you the URL and title of the current i-mode page.
Go
Select Go to open the selected link on an i-mode page, or simply hit the Enter key when a link is selected.
