Finding Local Stations Online
As noted previously, many local stations stream their broadcasts online from their own websites. If you want to find a station's website, a Google search will probably do the job. Or you can use the Radio-Locator website, located at http://www.radio-locator.com.
Radio-Locator does just what its name implies: it helps you locate specific radio stations. It lists more than 14,000 stations around the world; as you can see in Figure 9, you can search by country, city, ZIP code, or call letters. The web page for each station includes a link to the station's website and audio feed, along with technical and ownership information. It's really the best way to locate and find out more about any local AM or FM station.
