Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer + Internet
Microsoft calls this enhancement to the MCSE certification "the premier certification for professionals who enhance, deploy, and manage sophisticated intranet and Internet solutions based on the Windows NT and Microsoft server platforms." Microsoft also indicates that holders of the MCSE+I are able to maintain and manage Web sites. Microsoft recommends that you have at least one year of experience implementing and administering a network OS before your try to certify as an MCSE+I.
If your employer is a medium- to large-sized operation with a complex Windows NT computing environment, you may want to consider pursuing the MCSE+I. A word of caution here: Microsoft has not yet provided an upgrade path to Windows 2000, and the company has been vague about its plans for the MCSE+I certification for Windows 2000. It is possible that the certification may disappear along with Windows NT.
