Control Spam
If you find that one or more messages are spam, you can block receipt of future messages from that sender in one of several ways.
When you read a message, you can tap the Menu icon on the blue menu bar at the top of the page, and then tap Add to Spam. The Add to Spam window appears, so you can block the sender’s specific email address, block the domain so all email messages from anyone using that domain is blocked, or cancel the operation. After you block a sender or domain, messages from that sender or domain disappear from the message list on the Email app Home screen.
If you decide that you want to continue receiving messages from the sender or domain, you can remove the sender or domain from the Email app’s antispam list. Start by tapping the Menu button at the right side of the blue menu bar that appears at the top of the screen. In the menu that appears, tap Settings. On the Settings screen, as shown in Figure 13, tap General Settings in the settings list on the left side of the screen if it isn’t open already. Then tap Spam Addresses in the General Settings list.
Figure 13 The General Settings list appears on the right side of the Settings screen.
Within the list of spam addresses on the right side of the screen, tap and hold on the address or domain you want to restore until you see a check box with a check mark to the right of the address, as shown in Figure 14. Then tap Remove in the menu bar.
Figure 14 The Remove option appears at the right side of the blue menu bar that appears at the top of the screen.
In the Remove window that appears, tap Remove. The email address or domain disappears from the Spam Addresses list. If there are no more spam addresses, you see No Spam Addresses in the list. Return to the main Settings screen by tapping the Back touch button, and then return to the Email app home screen.
That concludes our quick tour of how to get the most from the Email app, so enjoy using this knowledge to manage your email messages effectively every day.
