The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 is a great tool for keeping track of your email messages using the pre-installed Email app. Before you start using the Email app, you should be familiar with the settings of the app and change settings accordingly so the app works best for you. If you haven’t started the Email app, swipe to the second Home page, and then tap Email, as shown in Figure 1. This article presumes you have already set up an email account on your Tab 4.

Add a Sender as a Priority Sender
Open a message by tapping the message in the list on the right side of the screen. (If you need a reminder, refer to Chapter 8 of My Samsung Galaxy Tab 4.) Tap the menu icon and then tap Set as Priority Sender, as shown in Figure 2.
Figure 2 The menu button appears at the right side of the blue menu bar at the top of the screen.
After you mark the sender as a priority sender, a pop-up window tells you that you have saved the sender as a priority sender. The orange priority sender icon also appears in the sender information area to the left of the sender’s email address (see Figure 3).
Figure 3 The priority sender icon is an orange silhouette coupled with a star that appears in the sender information area near the top of the screen.
Return to the Email app home screen by tapping the Back touch button. Within the message list, you see the priority sender icon included in each message sent by the priority sender. You can view all messages from your priority senders by tapping Priority Sender Inbox in the folder list, as shown in Figure 4. Return to your regular inbox by tapping Inbox in the folder list.
Figure 4 The Priority Sender Inbox folder is highlighted in blue within the list.
You can remove a sender from the priority senders list by opening a message from the priority sender, and then tap the Menu button, as you saw in Figure 2. Next, tap Remove from Priority Senders in the menu. The priority sender icon disappears from the sender information area and from messages within the message list on the Email app home screen.
