ChatON
If you find that ChatON is no longer installed on your Tab 4 after you update the device to KitKat, here’s how to get it from the Google Play Store:
- On the Home screen, tap Play Store.
In the Play Store home screen, tap the search icon in the menu bar (see Figure 10).

- Type chaton in the Search field and then tap ChatON at the top of the list that appears directly under the field.
In the ChatON screen that appears (see Figure 11), tap the Install button.

In the permissions window that appears in the center of the screen, tap the Accept button. After a few seconds, the ChatON app is installed, and you can open the app by tapping the Open button. Because your Samsung account already contains your ChatON buddies, and your chats are automatically backed up to the Tab 4, you won’t lose any information from previous uses of ChatON.
Note that after you install the ChatON app, you can see the app icon on your main Home screen. You can delete this icon if you want and access ChatON within the Apps screen.
Now that you’re up to speed with the Email, Dropbox, and ChatON apps, enjoy using them with your new KitKat operating system on the Tab 4.
