Yahoo Finance
After you install and open the Yahoo Finance app from the Play Store, the Yahoo Finance home screen appears (see Figure 6) with the latest stock market results, the current stock price for Yahoo, a list of summarized stories about Yahoo, and general business stories of the day. Swipe up and down to view all stories in the list and read an entire story by tapping on a story title in the list.
Figure 6 The stock market summary at the top of the screen shows the latest closing results for the Dow Industrials, S&P 500, and NASDAQ markets.
You can add a new stock of a company you want to follow by tapping the Search icon in the black menu bar at the top of the screen. Within the Search Stocks box that appears in the menu bar, type the name of the company or the stock ticker name. In this example, I’ll type AAPL for Apple; a list of search results appears below the Search Stocks box, and Apple Inc. appears at the top of that list.
I’ll tap AAPL in the list, and information about Apple appears on the screen, as shown in Figure 7.

Swipe up and down the screen to view more news stories about Apple. I’ll add Apple to the Yahoo Finance home screen by tapping the star icon in the black menu bar at the top of the screen. After you tap the star icon, the star turns gold, so you know it’s one of your favorites.
Return to the home screen by tapping the Back touch button. Apple now appears in the list of stocks you’re following, as shown in Figure 8.
