Replace the Internet App Icon
The bottom of the main Home screen contains icons for both the Chrome and Internet apps. If you prefer to use the Chrome app and don't want the Internet app on the screen, you can remove the Internet icon from the Home screen and replace it with something else. In this example, I'll move the Internet icon to a folder on the Home page that I created earlier in this chapter.
On the main Home screen, tap and hold the Internet icon and then drag the icon to the top of the folder on the screen. As you see in Figure 5, the Internet app icon is the new folder icon, and a blank space appears where the Internet app once was.
Figure 5 The Internet icon no longer appears in the bottom-right area of the screen the icon once occupied.
Now you can add an app icon from the Apps screen to a Home screen. Start by tapping the Apps icon on the Home screen and then find an app you want to add; for this example, I'll choose the Calculator app icon. Tap and hold the Calculator app icon; the main Home screen appears, so you can move the icon to the blank area once occupied by the Internet icon. Once you place the icon in the correct location, release your finger; the Calculator icon appears as shown in Figure 6.

Now you can access the Calculator app from the Home screen at your convenience. You can still access the Internet app by tapping the folder icon and then tapping the icon within the pop-up window that appears on the screen.
