Thanks to its compact size, but powerful and diverse capabilities (especially when you start using third-party apps), the iPad mini 3 quickly becomes an indispensible communications, productivity, and organizational tool, as well as a feature-packed and portable entertainment-oriented device that can be used in many aspects of your personal and professional life.

People who have never used an iPad before often think to themselves, “I already have a smartphone and a computer, what do I need a tablet for?” Yet, within a few days after acquiring an iPad mini, these same people often wonder how they’ve ever lived without the device. Right out of the box, thanks to iOS 8, the iPad mini 3 is capable of handling a wide range of tasks, and this latest iPad model is faster and more powerful than its predecessors.

One great thing about any iPad model is that data, documents, files, and content from your smartphone and/or computer can easily be synced or shared with the tablet via iCloud or another wireless method.

Meanwhile, if you’re thinking about upgrading from the original iPad mini to the new iPad mini 3, you’ll definitely notice faster performance and the higher resolution screen. From a technology standpoint, the difference between the iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3 is less noticeable, but the Touch ID sensor offered by the iPad mini 3, for example, is a welcome addition.
