Installing Drive on Your Smartphone, Tablet, or Computer
Although you can use Drive directly on the Web, you’ll probably also want to access your files on the go—as well as on your computer. To install Drive on other devices, go to https://www.google.com/intl/en/drive/download. Click the Download Drive button and choose from one of three options: Mac and PC, Android devices, or iPhone and iPad. Figure 3 shows a sample of Google Drive on an Android smartphone.

The main benefit of installing a mobile version of Drive is obvious: mobile access. Installing Drive on your computer is optional, but is a good idea if you plan to use Drive for more than occasional file storage. Doing so lets you synchronize files automatically and work with files offline.
