Citrix Winframe Exam #118

Exam #118 has 40 questions, a one-hour time limit, and a passing score of 68 (27 correct questions). This exam focus on WinFrame 1.8 administration and has nearly identical objectives as the MetaFrame 1.8 exam—only on a different technology, of course.

You'll need experience installing and configuring WinFrame and ICA clients to pass this exam. Planning and installation of Winframe is a big part of any Citrix install, so you can expect it to be a big part of this exam. Planning includes the ability to determine the proper server size for a Winframe installation. Again, pay close attention to the licensing aspects of Winframe.

On the client side, special attention is given to client configurations and the seamless user experience. You'll need to know how to configure Windows and non-Windows clients and their interactions with Winframe.

A Citrix Administrator will need to know how to configure ICA client features such as client cache options, SpeedScreen 2, and Windows TAPI emulations. No doubt, hands-on experience with these technologies will ensure success.

The exam objectives wind down with the same objectives as the previously discussed exams: load balancing, Web connectivity, and monitoring and troubleshooting WinFrame.
