Credit Management Apps
In addition to managing your day-to-day personal finances, as a consumer, it’s essential that you protect your overall credit rating, plus take steps to maintain the highest credit scores possible. Using proprietary apps from the three credit reporting agencies (Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax), it’s possible to sign up for a fee-based credit monitoring service that allows you to keep tabs on your credit scores and changes to your credit reports.
However, there’s also the free CreditKarma app that not only provides you with your credit score for free, but also offers personalized strategies for boosting and protecting your credit scores. Forgetting to pay a credit card bill on time, for example, is a common reason why your credit scores will dip.
Using some of the apps mentioned within this article, you can set up monthly alerts to remind you of upcoming bills, or in some cases, set up an AutoPay feature, so your minimum monthly payment for each credit card is automatically paid using funds from your primary checking account.
