Be Sure to Set Up Data Syncing Correctly
Keep in mind, if in addition to syncing with Outlook, your iPad is set up to also sync Contacts, Calendar, Mail, and Reminders data with your iCloud account, for example, your Outlook data will automatically become app-specific Contacts, Calendar, Mail, and/or Reminders app data, and then sync with iCloud as well. To turn this off, access Settings, tap on the iCloud option, and then turn off the virtual switches associated with the Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders options.
To turn off data syncing between the OWA for iPad app and your Office 365/Exchange Online account, from within the app, tap on the More icon, and then tap on Options. Next, uncheck the options related to Contacts Sync, Calendar Sync, etc., based on your needs.
When you set up offline access to your Outlook data from your tablet using the OWA for iPad app, three days worth of emails, one month of past calendar events, and up to six months of future calendar events will be synchronized, along with your contacts database.
