Making Your Hosted WordPress.com Website Mobile-Ready
By default, WordPress.com comes with an enabled mobile theme. This theme works with your installed theme (such as the default, Twenty Twelve), and is designed to load quickly and display well on a small screen. To find other responsive themes, click the Feature Filter link on the Manage Themes screen (select Appearance, Themes from the menu), select the Responsive Layout check box, and click the Search button. Figure 6 shows this screen.

If your preferred theme doesn’t have a responsive layout, WordPress.com displays the Minileven theme (modified from the Twenty Eleven theme) for mobile viewers.
You can disable the WordPress.com mobile theme or specify other settings on the Mobile Options screen (select Appearance, Mobile from the menu), as shown in Figure 7. Unless you have a specific reason for disabling this, however, you should leave it enabled.
