Read an Issue
Tap the Back button in the menu bar to return to the app's home page and then tap the magazine cover shown in Figure 8 to read the issue using your Wi-Fi connection.
Figure 8 The magazine cover appears on the left side of the screen.
If you want to download the issue to your Tab 2 even when you're not connected to the Internet, tap Download at the bottom of the magazine cover. When the Play Magazine app finishes the download process, the pushpin button at the bottom-right corner of the cover is blue.
Note that after you download a magazine, the Search icon appears on the right side of the menu bar. When you tap the Search icon, the Search for Editions, Blogs, and Articles area appears in the box, so you can type in search term(s) and search for those term(s) in the magazines you've purchased. If the Play Magazines app finds articles with the term(s) you entered, the Articles screen lists the articles so you can tap on an article and read it.
View pages as they appear in the printed version of the magazine (see Figure 9) by swiping from right to left on the screen.
Figure 9 Each screen shows two pages of the magazine as it appears in print form.
You can pinch on the screen to zoom on a portion of a page that you want to read more closely. If you want to view the magazine as plain text instead, tap the screen and then tap View Text at the right side of the menu bar at the top of the screen.
On the bottom of the screen, you'll see a row of thumbnail images that display the magazine pages shown in Figure 10. You can swipe back and forth in the row to view pages and then tap the two-page spread you want to view.
Figure 10 The Contents icon appears below and to the left of the thumbnail pages.
You can also tap the Contents icon (refer to Figure 10) to view a list of articles in the magazine on the left side of the page. Swipe up and down in the list to view the entire list of articles and then tap an article name in the list to view the first one or two pages of the article on the screen.
When you're reading a magazine, you can go back to the home screen by tapping the screen and then tapping the Back icon (the left arrow) on the left side of the menu bar at the top of the screen. Now you can search for even more magazines to read in the Play Store so you can have that information at your command on your Tab 2.
