- New Album Releases. These are recently released albums that Last.fm thinks you'll like. Album information is provided by Amazon.com, which explains the Buy buttons next to each album; click the button to purchase it from Amazon. By default, Last.fm displays two recommended albums on its home page; click the See All New Release Recommendations link to view a full page of new releases you might be interested in.
- Music. These are artists that match your listening tastes. Beneath each artist name, Last.fm explains why it recommended that artist, comparing the recommendation to similar artists you've listened to. Click an artist name to view a full page about that artist, including featured tracks that you can listen to from the Last.fm website. You can also play an online "radio station" that Last.fm assembles from these artist recommendations by clicking the Play Your Recommendations button.
- Events. If any of the artists you've listened to on Spotify are playing live near you, these concerts will be listed in the Events section on the Last.fm home page.
- Free Downloads. If there are any free MP3 downloads available from the artists you've listened to, Spotify lists them in the Free Downloads section. Click the Free MP3 button to download a track to your computer.
You can also discover new music by having Last.fm create a radio station based on a specific artist or genre. Just go to the Last.fm Radio section near the top of the Last.fm home page, enter an artist name or musical genre into the text box and click the Play button. Last.fm now displays a new page with its own music player and begins playing back the new station it created for you.
