Emailing Notes to Yourself
When you are out and about in the world—armed with your mobile phone or your tablet or netbook—you’ll likely find all kind of items you want to add to your Evernote notebooks. Maybe you’re at a meeting and you want to grab a photo of a logo on your cell phone and send it directly to your Evernote account. Or perhaps a client sends you an email message you want to be sure to include in a notebook about a project you’re working on. In both of those situations—and many, many more—you can email your notes directly to your Evernote notebook, using a unique email address Evernote provides for you.
Finding Your Evernote Email Address on the Web
Evernote automatically assigns a unique email address to your Evernote account. To find the email address, log in to Evernote on the web and go to your account Settings.
- Go to the Evernote home page (www.evernote.com) and click Sign In.
- Click Settings.
- In the Emailing to Evernote section, the email address will be displayed. Click the link to open a new email message window, add text in the Subject line, and click Send to test the account.

Sending Notes to Yourself by Email
After you find your email address, be sure to add it to your phone, your email client, and all your web accounts and mobile devices. That way you’ll be ready to email your notes when inspiration strikes.
- On your phone or desktop mail client, open a new email message.
- In the To box, enter or select your Evernote email address.
- Add the note content to the body of the message.
- Click or tap Send. The note is added to your default notebook in Evernote and will be synced with your notebook on all computers and devices you use.
