Managing Your Timeline on Your iPhone
You can also, of course, view your own Timeline on your iPhone. Just tap the Home button at the top of any screen and then click your name; this displays your Profile page.
Your mobile Profile page looks very similar to those of your friends, with a few important changes.
First, you can change the cover photo displayed at the top of your Profile page. Tap the camera icon at the bottom right of the cover area, then tap either Take Photo (to take a new picture with your iPhone’s built-in camera) or Upload Photo (to upload a new picture from your iPhone’s photo albums). Proceed as appropriate from there.
Next, you see three buttons underneath the scrolling tiles (see Figure 9). These buttons let you post a new status update (Status), upload a new photo (Photo), and check into your current location (Check In).

Finally, you can delete any post or hide a post from the Timeline. This is a little tricky, but here’s how I got it work. Tap and hold the post with one finger and then tap a second finger in the top-right corner of the post. This displays an X in a black circle; tap the X. You now see a prompt with two buttons: Hide from Timeline and Delete Post. Tap the red Delete Post button to get rid of the post completely, or tap the grey Hide from Timeline button to simply remove it from your Timeline (see Figure 10).

What you can’t do on your iPhone is add new life events to your Mobile Timeline. You have to add these from the web version of Facebook, on your computer. Still, you can do some basic Timeline management on your iPhone, which is useful.
