Viewing a Friend’s Timeline
Now we come to the major part of your friend’s Profile page: his Timeline. The Mobile Timeline includes all the status updates, uploads, and life events that this person has posted to Facebook, with the newest at the top.
The Mobile Timeline displays all sorts of items from this person. You’ll see normal status updates, of course (see Figure 6), but also any photos and videos this person has uploaded, music he’s listened to, places he’s checked into, and the like (see Figure 7).

The Timeline also displays what Facebook calls life eventsimportant events in that person’s life. An example of such life event is shown in Figure 8. This includes when this person started a new job, moved to a new home, got married or divorced, went on vacation, and so forth. (Of course, Facebook can only list those events it knows about; your friends have to manually augment their profile information with other events if they want to fill in their Timelines in this fashion.)

The most recent updates and events are automatically displayed at the top of the Timeline. To view older items, scroll down the screen and click a month or year. For example, to see all updates and events from 2008, click 2008; the Timeline now expands to show all items posted or experienced in that year.
You have the option of liking or commenting on most items in the Mobile Timeline. Just click the Like or Comment links underneath the item and proceed from there.
