4. Connect Your Google+ Page with Your Website
To make the most of your Google+ page, you need to connect it with your company's website. In addition to helping grow your audience on Google+, this also helps generate traffic to your site.
First, link to your website on your page's About tab. To access this tab, click the Profile icon at the top of your page and then click the Edit Profile button. On the About tab, you can link to your website in the Website field, add links in the Introduction text, and add custom links. This gives you an opportunity to link to your home page as well as to other important pages on your site. Be careful not to overdo linking, however. A handful of carefully selected links generates the best results.
Next, place a Google+ badge on your website. A sidebar is a good place for this. The Link Your Google+ Page to Your Site page provides the code for several different styles of badge and icon.
Figure 4 shows the standard badge, which includes a link to your Google+ page as well as a +1 button that your site visitors can click to endorse your site.

Linking your Google+ page and website also makes your page eligible for Direct Connect, which Google is rolling out in phases. Direct Connect enables people to quickly find your company's Google+ page through Google Search if they place a plus sign (+) before your company's name. For example, if you type "+Google" on the Google Search page and press the Enter key, Google's Google+ page opens directly.
