Redeeming an App Code
Someday you might receive an app code either as a gift from a friend or as a possible trial for an app that hasn’t yet been released. (This sometimes happens when you register your software; developers love to test their new apps by offering them to existing customers.)
When you receive an app code, you need to open the App Store app and scroll to the bottom where you see the Redeem button (refer to Figure 7.4).

After you tap the Redeem button, you see a screen like the one in Figure 7.20.

Tap inside the Code text box and enter the code using the onscreen keyboard. Next, tap the Redeem button.
You have to sign in with your Apple ID, so provide that information when requested. After providing the Apple ID password, you see an alert like the one in Figure 7.21. You can enter another code or press the Home button and go check out your newly downloaded app.
