Changing Your Profile Picture
There are a handful of things you can personalize on your new Profile page. We’ll start at the top-left corner, with your profile picture.
To change your profile picture, go to your Profile page, point to your picture (or the thumbnail placeholder) and click the Edit Profile Picture link that appears. This displays a menu of options: Choose from My Photos, Take a Photo, Upload a Photo, Edit Thumbnail, and Remove Your Picture (see Figure 2).

To upload a new photo from your computer, click the Upload a Photo option. When the Choose File to Upload or Open dialog box appears, navigate to and select the picture you want to use, and then click the Open button.
To select a picture you’ve already uploaded, click the Choose from My Photos option. When the Select a Photo dialog box appears, select one of the photos of you, or click View Albums to select a photo from one of your photo albums. When the picture page appears, click the Make Profile Picture link.
To shoot a new picture from your computer’s webcam, click Take a Photo. When the Take a Profile Picture dialog box appears, smile and click the camera button. If you like what you see, click the Set as Profile Picture button.
You then have the opportunity to edit the thumbnail version of this photo that appears in Facebook’s News Feed. Just click your profile picture and select Edit Thumbnail; when the Edit Thumbnail dialog box appears, click and drag the thumbnail until it looks the way you want. Click the Save button when you’re done.
