Managing Your Social Networking with Ping.fm
Ping.fm is a little different from the other social network consolidation tools in that it doesn’t consolidate posts from multiple social networks. Instead, it’s a cross-network posting service only, that lets you send a single post to more than 30 different social networks, blog services, and instant messaging networks. It works with AIM, Blogger, Delicious, Facebook, Flickr, FriendFeed, Google Buzz, LinkedIn, MySpace, Ning, Plaxo, Twitter, TypePad, WordPress, and many more similar services.
To use Ping.fm, all you have to do is go to http://www.ping.fm, sign up for a free account, and then link that account to your other social networking, blog, and instant messaging accounts. To post a message, click the Dashboard tab, enter your message, then click the Ping It! button. You can also create individual groups of services you post to, so that you can post specific messages to selected social networks, instead of to all of them.
