Other Changes from the Desktop Edition
There are a few little tweaks in Netbook Edition that are different from the major interface changes mentioned previously.
Virtual Desktops
Unlike the normal Ubuntu install, the Netbook Edition panel does not show virtual desktops. Only one virtual desktop/workspace is created by default. However, the ability to use virtual desktops still exists, although changing the default takes a bit of work. The default panel lacks any free space, so you will need to remove one of the applets, such as the go home applet in the upper left, and then right click on the free space created and add the workspace switcher applet. However, the applet does not display correctly with the black panel. Change the panel color or use the keyboard shortcuts of Ctrl+Alt+(arrow keys) to move between workspaces.
