Installing Applications on Your Rooted NOOKcolor
Now that you have your NOOKcolor rooted, you want to install applications, right? Well, it is super easy:
- From the Quick Nav Bar, tap Extras, and then tap Market. You can search the market for apps, browse by category, and view downloads (see Figure 4). Tap the Search icon and type Kindle and tap the magnifying glass button. A list of downloads appears (see Figure 5).
- Tap the Kindle for Android app line. Tap Install and then tap OK (see Figure 6). You will be informed that it is downloading. Tap the Menu option and tap Downloads to watch the progress.
- When it is finished downloading and installed, tap the Kindle for Android app line. Tap Open.
- Enter your Amazon account information (the one associated with your Kindle books). Tap Register. Your app is synched up with your Kindle account (see Figure 7). You can now read your Kindle books on your NOOKcolor.
