Without a doubt, FlightTrack Pro (shown in Figure 2) is one of the most indispensible and powerful apps frequent business fliers have at their disposal.
This app works seamlessly with TripIt.com, so when an airline or travel agent emails your flight confirmation after you book a ticket, you simply forward the email to plans@tripit.com. Within a minute, your complete travel itinerary gets synced wirelessly and displayed on your iPhone.
You can also input flight information manually onto your iPhone or iPad, and track multiple itineraries simultaneously.

Once your itinerary is loaded into your iPhone, you'll automatically be alerted, in real-time, of any changes to your flight status, such as a delay, cancelled flight, or changed gate. When you land at your destination city, you'll receive an alert telling you which baggage claim belt has your checked luggage. A detailed weather report is also displayed for your destination city.
As you begin using this app consistently, you'll notice that changes to a flight's status often appear on your iPhone's screen up to several minutes before the same information appears on airport monitors. One screen of this app even researches each leg of your flight and informs you of its chances of arriving on time versus being delayed, diverted, or cancelled (based on past statistics).
