PowerPoint Web App: Create Presentations in a Web Browser
- An Internet-Connected Computer
- A Web Browser
- Working with the PowerPoint Web App
- Final Thoughts
The PowerPoint Web App is a version of PowerPoint that runs as a browser based application. This is a part of the larger set of apps called the Office Web Apps. Office Web Apps includes web browser-based versions of programs such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and OneNote.
All these Office Web Apps including PowerPoint are available to anyone entirely free of cost; all you need to use these including the PowerPoint Web App are three prerequisites, described in the following sections. If you are reading this online, you already have the first two in place.
An Internet-Connected Computer
This is important because although you may have an Internet-connected computer most of the time, there are times when you may not be able to get online. You might be in a remote area that has no connectivity or probably in a plane. At these times, you won't be able to run the PowerPoint Web App. Also, if you are on a very slow Internet connection, the PowerPoint Web App may not respond too well to your clicks and choices.
