3. Safeguard Your Contact Information
Any contact information you add to your profile[md]such as a mobile phone number or home address[md]is instantly available to everyone, so make this privacy setting your next stop on the checklist:
- From the Choose Your Privacy Settings page, click the Customize Settings link under the Sharing on Facebook area. This opens a page of customizing settings (see Figure 3) for things you share on Facebook, things others share about you, and contact information.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to locate all the contact information settings, and customize the settings. For example, you can make your email address available to Friends Only, or Friends of Friends.

Want to be more specific? You can choose exactly which friend gets to see your number or address. To do so, choose the Customize option from the drop-down list to open the Custom Privacy dialog box where you can make the information available to certain people you’re friends with, or hide it from certain others.
