To find Windows information:
- Right-click (My) Computer on the desktop or Start menu.

Windows edition, 32-bit/64-bit version, installed service pack information, and computer name information are all visible from the main pane of the System properties sheet.
Finding Windows Information with Sysinfo32

Opening Sysinfo32 displays the following Windows information in the default Overview display: OS Name (Windows XP Home, Windows 7 Ultimate, etc.); Version (build number; the build number can be used to determine if a service pack has been installed); User Name (lists computer name/user name).
To determine whether the system is running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows, open the Software Environment category and click the Environmental Variables sub-category. The PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE entry reads AMD64 for 64-bit Windows and x86 for 32-bit Windows.
Finding Windows Information with Belarc Advisor

Belarc Advisor lists the Windows edition, build number and x86 or x64 version in the Operating System section of the report.
Check the Missing Microsoft Security Hotfixes section of the report to see if the system is missing any of the required security hotfixes as discussed in the most recent Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary. The Installed Microsoft Hotfixes section of the report lists all installed hotfixes for Windows and other Microsoft products installed on the system, such as Microsoft Office.
To see the Windows registration key, check the Software Licenses section of the report.
The Computer Name is listed in the Computer Profile Summary at the top of the report.
Finding Windows Information with SiSoftware Sandra

SiSoftware Sandra lists the Windows edition, build number, x86 or x64 version, and Product Key (registration key) in the Operating System section under General Information. The Computer Name is listed as Host Name under Session Settings.
While SiSoftware Sandra claims to list Installed Windows Updates, the information it shows is inaccurate.
Best Choice for Windows Information
Of the programs covered in this article, Belarc Advisor was the only one to display all five items in the Windows Information category. SiSoftware Sandra Lite displayed four out of five, while System properties and Sysinfo32 displayed three out of five.
